There are business schools that are ranked high because they constantly procure awards from business institutions, and there are business schools that are recognized for their contribution in the business community.
Who does the rankings for business schools? The answer is practically everyone and anyone. Surveys are conducted (mostly annually) and the best schools are rated by many people.
How important are business school rankings? Are business school rankings enough to prove that the top business schools are reputable or that they provide quality business education and training programs?

With more hits to any particular school, it would mean that their graduates and MBA holders are hired more than those of competitors. Most of the top business schools, especially those that are constantly ranked to be one of the best business schools, have world class services.
It is best to prepare well before embarking on entrance examinations and grueling interviews at top rated schools. Only the best of the best are accepted at the top business schools.
